Pechki-Lavochki Family Restaurant

Lovely slavic themed restaurant. A good variety of food with some nostalgic hitters. Loved the vibe, and atmosphere inside. Food got there relatively quick. Price is also decent. And the deserts were very good! One of my favorite dishes i've eaten in my stay Kyrgistan.

Visited in August 2025. Kyrgyzstan Bishkek. Tucked in the heart of Bishkek near GUM, «Печки-Лавочки» charmed us with its lovely terrace, where we settled in, surrounded by cute, nostalgic decor that set the stage for a cozy meal. FOOD: The menu celebrates Russian cuisine with a European twist, packed with comforting classics. We tried several dishes, with a special focus on the pancakes. The herring under a fur coat salad was a nostalgic hit—fresh, well-prepared vegetables, quality herring, and tasty mayo blended perfectly, evoking warm memories. The northern shrimp fried with garlic were another win: sweet, slightly smoky, and easy to peel, they were a delight. The mushroom julienne, however, was less impressive; the portion was overly generous, but the creamy sauce felt uneven, and the cheese seemed disconnected from the dish. The pancakes stole the show—thin, airy, smooth, and perfectly balanced in sweetness and salt. We tried them with red caviar, cheese (though sour cream would’ve been better), chicken, and plain with jam, and they were all phenomenal; we even took some to go! The only miss was the condensed milk—watery, likely plant-based, more like a cheap syrup. Please swap it out! SERVICE: The service was top-notch. Our waitress was professional, knew the menu inside out, and ensured our dishes arrived quickly, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. VERDICT: «Печки-Лавочки» is a gem for Russian cuisine lovers, delivering delicious food and a nostalgic vibe that feels like a hug from childhood. Nearly everything we tried was spot-on, making it a great choice for both lively group dinners and quiet family meals. Despite a few hiccups with the julienne and that awful condensed milk, we loved it and highly recommend it.

The place boasts an interesting interior featuring traditional Russian decor, creating a cozy, family-friendly ambience. The menu focuses on homestyle Russian cuisine, which includes a variety of hearty soups and stews, various salads, and a wide selection of meat, poultry, and fish dishes. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. Costs: We spent around 1,700 som per person.

Highly recommended if you have the budget for it. Food is nothing but delicious. Their salads are incredible. The homemade lemonade also don’t just sound nice but also tastes amazingly.
